Coaching profile
Dr Andrew Sutcliffe
Think better, feel better, do better:
Positive psychology coaching for challenge and change
I offer values driven coaching for public sector leaders working in complex communities and at the interface between agencies – supporting leadership, strategy, and organisational development.
My coaching is grounded on humanistic principles of empathy, acceptance, and passionate curiosity. I build a foundation of trust and a robust working alliance; I support your thinking while challenging you to do better, enabling you to plan effective actions with a clear mind.
I am a flexible and responsive coach, deploying evidence-based techniques from solution-focused thinking, person centred planning, and restorative practice within recognised coaching structures to tailor my approach to your specific circumstances.
Areas of expertise
In local authorities, I have led service transformation, culture change, and cross-agency practice development for professionals working in learning disability, challenging behaviour, and mental health.
25 years’ experience working in schools and academy trusts, in diverse roles from teaching assistant to SEN teacher, middle leader, psychologist, and governor, has given me a unique insight into how educational institutions function as organisations.
I have a track-record of effective work to develop individuals and teams working with families in complex situations, through coaching, consultation, and reflective practice.
